I then Signed Out of the desktop application, closed it and then fired it up again. This seemed to go through ok and did end up working, loading up a functional Teams Window for my personal account. This time I chose to Use another account and entered in my personal Outlook address. I went back again and cleared the contents of the same folder and fired up Teams another time. This time is gave me the option to chose a login, so I chose the same Veeam account... only to have the same issue. I did however have files under Library -> Application Support -> Teams. I cleared the contents of that folder and tried to fire up Teams again. A couple of replies from Microsoft suggested a cleaning out of Cached files under the logged in users Library -> Caches -> folder, but I didn’t have that folder in existence on my system. I came across this Microsoft Support thread that didn’t seem to be that helpful, or offer and specific path to resolution. It would just sit there until it loaded a blank White Window in the background and then do no more. After first apparent successful login, Teams would get stuck on the Loading Microsoft Teams window as shown below. I was having an issue with Teams after entering my Veeam Work Organisation credentials, and logging in.

Teams is a seperate download and install from the core Office 365 Applications which are M1 optimized (Excluding OneDrive). Microsoft Teams is not M1 optimized and runs under rosetta 2. Being new, and on Apple Silicon, I expected a few compatibility issues with some of my older MacOS usuals.

i suspect apple's overzealousness of their technology might be a factor here.I’ve recently gotten my hands on the new Mac Mini M1 which comes with MacOS Big Sur as the default operating system. Other than the seemless interconnectivity of same brand products, there should be no reason why teams performance on mac computers is so sketchy. I think that the issue with mac and microsoft teams needs solving, they are going to have a lot of disgruntled users. Instead we'd get the occasional report from self isolating students.

When lesssons were at school (Sep-dec, before this 2nd national lockdown in uk) teachers ran lessons at the classroom and with teams for self isolating students the teachers were using our windows pcs and never reported such issues. With current lockdowns its not possible for them to have access to a different machine. In all of the above issues, the one common denominator is having a mac computer. In some cases we have one teacher being booted out of lessons even when his students are set as participants and he is the only presenter in meeting options. We have teachers that are meeting organisers/team owners and some notifications dont show such as the raised hand feature on meetings. Some students seem unable to join lesson meetings unless is a very small meeting, anything over around 30 people and they keep being booted out or just cannot join the session.

We have issues whereby some students using mac laptops are not able to join teams meetings, we get "response code 847" on the teams admin area, user activity report, for which i cannot find any information for.

We are also having multiple users reporting issues with teams, and what we are finding they all have in common is that they all have mac computers. office-teams-windows-itpro office-teams-linux-itpro

The error message I get says: Something went wrong - you cant make or get calls right now. Ive tried redownloading the app, updating my computer, restarting my computer, allowing access again to the camera and microphone. (Which is incredibly frustrating because I want to use my laptop to see everyone on the call/share screens/etc). I am now not even able to JOIN a meeting at all using my laptop, but I am able to using my phone. It stopped working and I have not been able to get it to work since. I went into my laptop settings and allowed the camera permission to use Teams. When I originally downloaded Teams to my laptop, I was able to get on and have meetings but my video wasnt working. I have a Macbook Air and I am trying to use Microsoft Teams to have video meetings. I've basically exhausted all of my options, so hopefully I can find help here.
